Community Living
EMAN provides residential services in fourteen community homes for more than 50 women and men. Most of the homes are located in the East Mount Airy section of Philadelphia while a few are in Roxborough.
These homes provide an environment where people can grow and make personal decisions about their lives. The homes are managed utilizing the principles of Every Day Lives. If one chooses to work or attend a social program on a regular basis, such an opportunity is supported. People find connections to the community and relationships by shopping, having their hair done, renting a movie, or visiting a friend. They participate in many recreational and cultural activities that their neighborhood and the city of Philadelphia offer. There are opportunities for travel as diverse as the Jersey Shore and Las Vegas and there is also space to just do your own thing, and enjoy privacy. |

 Historically, families have played a significant role in the mission of EMAN and continue to do so. Connections with families, neighbors, friends, religious institutions, and community-based organizations add social capital to the lives of the people here at EMAN. Dedicated and committed staff and an administration invested in the principles of quality management round out the picture.
